Our organic gardening project is underway and we have many colorful garden photos showing the fruits of our labor. As you can see in our garden photos we've been blessed with a bounty of garden fresh vegetables and delicious greens.
Gold Rush Zucchini
The fruit from this hardy zucchini plant is bright yellow. It has out-produced both the black zucchini plant and the traditional summer squash in our organic garden. We've had an overrun of squash bugs this year and as a result many of our squash plants have struggled with bacterial wilt. Even so, the gold rush zucchini has been seemingly unaffected, and we highly recommend this variety for organic gardening in the desert. It makes excellent zucchini bread and is good for frying.
